Blake Shell is an artist and a contemporary art curator. She received a Bachelor of Art from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, and an MFA in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has been exhibited in venues such as PDX Contemporary Art, the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, and the Institute for New Media in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as alongside video artists Bill Viola, Nam June Paik, and William Wegman. Her curatorial work has gained regional attention in the Pacific Northwest, and a national review on Artforum.com’s Critic’s Picks. She has just been named the Director and Curator of The Art Gym and Belluschi Pavilion at Marylhurst University.
