Skins
For the popular computer game The Sims, players buy and sell "skins" to wrap around their own characters in a simulated suburbia. This mimics the plastic surgery and dieting obsessed culture that we live in. These works are created from appropriated skins found on-line, showing the stretched and abstracted bodies and fabrics that we wrap around our virtual selves. The physical is coveted and commodified even within the virtual world.
